This monograph presents management trends, challenges, and advances in the context of Industry 4.0. The advent of the Industry 4.0 is a topic that attracts the attention of not only industrial technology specialists, but also IT specialists and business managers. Industry 4.0 represents a major change that is rapidly entering the current environment and all industries. Industry 4.0 brings about new technologies and concepts such as automation, system integration, autonomous robotics, digitization, artificial intelligence systems, and much more. New technologies are rapidly changing the face. This change brings a number of challenges that create opportunities for many companies to create a long-term competitive advantage for themselves and ensure their competitiveness in the global environment.

The whole economy is undergoing radical changes precisely thanks to the introduction of these advanced ICTs and artificial intelligence into manufacturing enterprises and organizations, services and all sectors of the economy. Industry 4.0 is a revolution built on digitization, changes in production processes, and changes in business models in order to speed up and streamline production, including the interconnection of individual systems in the company, starting with customer requirements and ending at the final product through digitization.

However, special attention is devoted to gender equality, diversity and inclusion in the above-mentioned context. The majority of the scientific chapters was written within 3 projects, VEGA project “Working competencies in the context of Industry 4.0 development, no. 2/0077/19, APVV project “Transformation of paradigm in management of organizations in the context of Industry 4.0”, no. 17-0656 and H2020 project “Linking research and innovating for gender equality, No 873134.
