The proceedings of the 3rd AIDRAN Biennial Conference on Disability Rights (ICDR), held on November 21-23, 2023, reflect the rich discussions and insights shared during this pivotal event. Organized by the Australian-Indonesia Disability Research and Advocacy Network (AIDRAN) in collaboration with the Australian Catholic University, Australia, and the Faculty of Social Science, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia, the conference was supported by the INKLUSI Program. INKLUSI, a joint initiative by the Governments of Indonesia and Australia, advocates for an inclusive society where everyone, regardless of gender, religion, age, race, or physical abilities, can participate equally in political, economic, and social spheres. The conference served as a platform for scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and advocates to explore critical issues surrounding disability rights, emphasizing both legal frameworks and the lived experiences of persons with disabilities. Discussions spanned education, employment, public services, health, and social protection, addressing challenges and pathways to inclusion. This collection of papers showcases diverse topics, including family roles in fostering inclusion, implementation of inclusive policies, public service accessibility, economic empowerment, legal reforms, and media representation of persons with disabilities. These contributions offer valuable insights and practical approaches to advancing disability rights. It is our hope that the knowledge shared in these proceedings will inspire continued action, inform policy, and strengthen the global commitment to creating a more inclusive and equitable society for all.
