Some examples are ambulances and fire control truck. However, these conventional emergency services are not equipped with appropriate equipment to provide high QoS. For instance, conventional medical emergency services include ambulances with drivers and oxygen supplies only. Another example is the conventional fire control systems that only include fire control truck, which is not suitable for current scenario due to various challenges, for instance, road traffic. In addition, accidental services are unsatisfactory in current and future emergency services. Emergency service is required by anyone at anytime and anywhere. Therefore, it is the time to redefine and restructure the conventional emergency service for saving more lives. Due to the advent of wireless communication technology, it is possible to provide the emergency service on the spot in nearly real-time to save lives. Moreover, integration of Artificial Intelligence with smart devices can change the definition of emergency services. In this chapter, we envision the various emergency services to advance the healthcare services. Besides, we envision the impact of emergency services on healthcare with the help of Artificial Intelligence, 5G and 6G communication technology. more »

Among them, the link scheduling model for WMNs aims at finding a data transmission schedule based on network links so that some objectives on packet transmission areoptimized under certain transmission constraints. In this paper, a new WMN link scheduling model with additional in formation of node locations and gateway designs is orchestrated. An approximate dynamic programming algorithmis utilized for scheduling the new model. Experiment results show that, in addition to maintaining many wireless network characteristics, the proposed scheduling algorithm effectively simulates the result of dynamic programming, and has performances superior to genetic algorithm. more »

Especially, UAVs are being utilized to ensure a better solution to a dependable and cost-effective wireless communication network from the sky. The adoption of UAVs has been considered as an alternative supplement of existing cellular networks, to accomplish better transmission efficiency with enhanced coverage and network capacity. This article has represented some wireless communication scenarios where UAVs can be utilized to ensure better coverage, enhancement of efficiency and capacity. After that, to establish the effectiveness of UAVs in wireless communication thepaper has included several performance scenarios (path loss, attenuation, and data rate) after utilizing UAVs in the wireless network. Finally concluded with discussing several challengesfor UAV assisted wireless networks and the scopes of further enhancement of such kind of networks. This article might be informative to those who are engaged in research regarding UAV assisted wireless communication. more »

At the same time, it expatiates on the implementation mechanism of DMVPN, puts forward a concrete case that to adopts the DMVPN technique constructs secure enterprise network of some universities and business chain organization, and network performance indexes are tested. From the results of the test, the DMVPN network entirely satisfies the actual requirements that an enterprise uses a network. It offers a mode that is a convenient and economical investment to an enterprise for building a secure network. more »

TIoT scope encompasses all areas related to the technologies and application fields related to IoT. In particular, original and outstanding results related to the research, development and implementation aspects of any technological, economical and sociological field that bears a significant relationship and impact on IoT. While pursuing a rigorous scientific approach, TIoT will provide a voice to different communities, and will foster synergies between different fields. Computer Science disciplines closely related to IoT, such as Modelling, Networking, Embedded Devices and Security, will integrate novel results with Governance, Economical and Social studies in order to provide a clear and unifying vision for the upcoming IoT. We invite submissions that present significant results in theoretical and experimental analysis and evaluation of technologies with specific areas including, but not limited to, networking for constrained devices, business models and applications, modelling, architectures and system design for smart objects, cooperative data processing for IoT, social impact of novel IoT technologies, security for embedded devices, semantic and behavioural aspects of interconnected devices. more »
