The 1st International Conference on Democracy and Social Transformation (ICON-DEMOST) was held by The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) UIN Walisongo Semarang at 15 September 2021. The Conference was conducted both offline and online in pandemic situation. The post pandemic landscape was the key concept underlying the conference so that it took "Humanity and the Changing Political Landscape in Post Covid-19 World" as main topic. As we know that Covid-19 has lasted for two year since its outbreak in early 2020. The pandemy has changed our daily life as well as various societal and political activities. Due to the possibility that the pandemy would bring our life into new normal, the Conference then focused on how we face the post covid-19 landscape. This first ICON-DEMOST paid close attention to the post Covid-19 social and political landscape so that the Organizers invited researchers and academic persons to discuss and share idea on how to understand and to face the new post covid-19 landscape. The ICON-DEMOST opened multidisciplinary discourse enabling experts from different academic backgrounds to contribute their unique perspectives on the issue. Here, the experts coming from universities and institutions in Indonesia and from other countries were really challenged to find out the best understanding and vision to tackle the World problem.
