In this workshop, we aim to bring together researchers and practitioners to share their experiences in successful design and implementation of wellness interventions and/or applications. We propose three pillars of wellness research for discussion – theory, practice, and technology – and invite contributions from a variety of sources, such as the Pervasive Healthcare community, preventive care, health promotion, public health, and behavioral/social science. Through this workshop, we hope to develop a shared understanding of existing approaches and findings around the wellness interventions and applications and identify key synergies, opportunities and challenges for future research that lead to successful wellbeing. We also hope to establish a multi-disciplinary research community focused on wellness interventions and technology support. As a final outcome, we plan to set an agenda for future research in this area to be shared with the greater research community. All accepted papers will be in the IEEE digital library as workshop proceedings.
