Sports Science Faculty, Universitas Negeri Semarang is the host of the 5th International Seminar on Physical Health and Education (ISPHE), which were held virtually on July 22nd, 2020 in Semarang (Indonesia), in collaboration with the Health Education National Networking (JNPK) Indonesia, the Indonesian Public Health Association (IAKMI) and some prominent Indonesia universities in health education and sport (Malang State University, Gorontalo State University, and Manado State University). This seminar brings together academic experts and practitioners from South East Asia and beyond to share new knowledge, ideas, and experiences pertaining to Health Education, Physical Activities, and Applied Technology for Health as well as those in related fields in order to accommodate more aspirations and expressions of sport’s and health communities. The general theme of the seminar is “Strengthening Disease Prevention through Health Education and Physical Activity for Sustainable and Equitable Health Development” and the issues being covered in this proceeding are:

    • Health Education
    • Physical Activity
    • Applied Technologies for Health

The ever-changing scope and rapid development of Physical Education, Sports Science and Health create new problems and questions, resulting in the real needs for sharing brilliant ideas and stimulating good awareness of this important research field. We promise to produce a bright picture and charming landscape for expert, researcher and practitioner while the support received and the enthusiasm witnessed have truly exceeded our expectations. The responses to the call-for-papers had been overwhelming – both from Indonesia, country around South East Asia and from all over the world. Unfortunately, many manuscripts from prestigious institutions could not be accepted due to the reviewing outcomes and our capacity constraints.

We would like to express our gratitude and appreciation for all the reviewers who helped us maintain the high quality of manuscripts included in the proceedings published by EUDL. We are very grateful to the International/National advisory committee, session chairs, students’ volunteers, and administrative assistants who selflessly contributed to the success of this Conference. Also, we are thankful to all the authors who submitted papers, because of which the conference became a story of success. We would also like to extend our thanks to the members of the organizing team for their hard work.

On the day of completion of this journey, we are delighted to present the proceedings of The 5th ISPHE International Conference 2020 to the authors and delegates of the event with a high level of satisfaction and aspiration. We hope that you will find it useful, exciting, and inspiring. We appreciate that the authors may want to maximize the popularity of their papers and we will try our best to support them in their endeavors.
