The 1st International ICST Workshop on Satellite Communicatoins (SATCom2011) will be held in conjunction with CHINACOM 2011 in Harbin, China, August 16, 2011. The objective of this workshop is to provide a forum for researchers and techologists to present new ideas and contributions in the form of technical papers, panel discussions and tutorials of ideas in the field of satellite communictions. The scope of the workshop includes a wide range of technical challenges in view of the growing interest for satellite access to Internet, multi-media and broadband and aceess to satellite communication systems, the evolution of future satellite communications with access across hybrid platforms, the deep space communications and the performance of the air interface.
