Grid technologies have been widely adopted by the scientific community as a computing infrastructure for scientific applications. The Grid holds the promise as one of the enabling technologies for utility computing, and has drawn a lot of interest from business users. However, adoption of Grid technology outside of the scientific community has been slow to catch on. One of the main reasons given to the slow adoption of Grid technologies for business use is the lack of security and trust. Efforts to improve security and trust in Grids have been initiated in the last few years. The objective of the workshop is to establish a state of the art for security and trust in Grids, and to provide a forum for exchange of ideas between Grid researchers working on trust and security issues, and security experts whose technologies could be applied to the Grid. Grid-STP07 seeks high-quality research and experimentation contributions in the form of well-developed full papers. Topics of interest encompass research advances in all areas of security, trust and privacy in Grids. Grid-STP07 brings together security and privacy experts in academia, industry and government as well as practitioners, standards developers and policy makers. The workshop programmes will include an invited talk by an expert in the field.
