    The specific aim of the 4th eHealth conference is research into social networks for epidemic intelligence, a new rapidly emerging field bringing together data mining, web intelligence, social networks and Web 2.0 technologies to assist public health and field epidemiology. As in previous years, eHealth 2011 will bring together experts from academia, industry and global healthcare institutions such as WHO and ECDC to stimulate cutting-edge research discussions, share experience with real-world healthcare service providers and policy makers, as well as provide numerous business opportunities.
