Abstract
Globalization has come to a new era of revolution of industry 4.0. The presence of this era is inevitable, for it has not only an extraordinary potential in remodeling the industry but also changing many aspects of human lives. To deal with these changes, SMEs must learn to gain new knowledge and spread it to all members of the organization. The purpose of this research is to develop a competitive advantage model based on organizational learning. This study was conducted on the largest of batik SMEs industry cluster in Central Java, namely Kampoeng Laweyan, Solo. The quantitative approach is used with the survey method. The number of samples is 100 UKM. Analyzes were performed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Factor analysis shows that organizational learning is formed from acquisition, dissemination, and shared interpretation. The results show that shared interpretation has a significant effect on competitive advantage, while acquisition and dissemination have no significant effect on competitive advantage. Even so, organizational learning has a significant effect on competitive advantage. This finding is in line with Learning Theory, where organizational learning is a way to open up competitive advantages.
