Abstract

The transition from traditional pedagogy into modern pedagogy in the higher education environment shows that higher education institutions are capable of moving toward digital transformation. However, the shift of education to utilizing technology in higher education will never be easy and perfect, even though the transition and change are crucial for future higher education development. The paper suggested that higher institutions could transform by instilling a digital culture among the members. Consequently, various issues and challenges must be highlighted so that the higher institutions' strategic level can develop a strategy to overcome the matters. Due to this, the author highlights the crucial issues and challenges to embracing the digital culture in higher education institutions, which is lost in digital transformation, particularly from the author’s perspective as strategic level personnel in the higher institution.
