Development of Music Based on the Media of the Picture Story Book "Sumbang Duo Baleh" for the Formation of Character Discipline in Early Age Children 4 - 6 Years in West Sumatra, Kota Pariaman

Education is a product of human culture, which is dynamic and constantly evolving. Education includes all processes of change of knowledge from the predecessor generation to the younger generation, which are immediate or continuous. In recent decades, early childhood character education has become an important concern for practitioners and researchers in Indonesia. This statement shows that the Indonesian government and educators agree and are serious about building the nation and the character of the next generation. Women play a very special role in Minangkabau because they are responsible for the identity of the people and the high heritage of the adat. Minangkabau women are also responsible for protecting and preserving Minangkabau culture so that it does not disappear. this is the main basis for researchers to create Minangkabau early childhood learning media as a character building instrument based on the philosophy of Minangkabau cultural customs. Norms governing the conduct and behavior of Minangkabau women are known as sumbang duo baleh. In general, the ninik mamak and the sages in Minangkabau pay a lot of attention to the application of the philosophical values of sumbang duo baleh in the conduct and behavior of women, children and adults.
