Abstract
Broadband microwave termination is made of a uniform transmission line terminated by a nonuniform transmission having a varied distributed shunt admittance. We assume a line in which the fractional rise in admittance per wavelength is constant. By means of a nonuniform transmission line having a fixed geometrical length, we can obtain an arbitrarily large effective length without destroying the match of the input.
