Abstract

This research aimed to describe the implementation of the problem-based learning model in elementary school students of Sukoharjo. The research method was qualitative research. The data were collected using observation, interview and documentation. The data were analysed using interactive data analysis. The research results describe that the teacher has not applied the problem-based learning model to the elementary school students of Sukoharjo maximally. The learning was still teacher-centred. Only certain students were active, which resulted in the gap in the learning process among the students. Students did not work together well in groups and they looked bored in learning.
