Abstract
This study aims to analyse the implementation of Scout extracurricular activities in the development of students' disciplined and independent character at SMA Negeri 2 Banjar. The problem of declining student morale, particularly in relation to discipline and independence, motivates this research. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method, collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The study's results demonstrate that various forms of exercises, camps, and games in Scout activities foster the development of students' discipline and independence. The implementation of regulations, sanctions, and regular exercises in Scout activities trains students to be responsible and disciplined in carrying out their duties. In addition, this activity also helps students develop independence through decision-making and teamwork. Thus, the Scout extracurricular at SMA Negeri 2 Banjar effectively shapes the character of discipline and independence in students.
