Abstract

The first effort that parents and teachers must make to instill the values of the Al-Qur’an in children is to teach them how to pronounce the hijaiyah letters, a set of Arabic letters used in the AlQur’an. A child's ability to pronounce the hijaiyah letters has a significant influence on his ability to recite the verses of the Al-Qur’an. A teacher needs to pay attention to the learning media used so that it is adapted to the character of the subject and the character of the students who will be taught. The appropriate use of learning media can enliven the teaching and learning atmosphere in the classroom. This research aims to develop effective and efficient learning media. This research focuses on creating effective, efficient and fun teaching media that is adapted to the characteristics of TK. Ilham students in order to improve learning outcomes in learning to recognize hijaiyah letters. The research method used was qualitative research using an experimental study approach with the one group pre-test-post-test design with pretest results of 40% and posttest results increasing by 86.15% in the level of ability of TK. Ilham students recognized the hijaiyah letters well flashcard media. In conclusion, Flashcards are an interesting and helpful learning medium on students at Ilham Inspirasi Kindergarten in recognizing hijaiyah letters easily.
