Abstract
This paper presents a web application whose goal is to explore the existing narratives in the book “Goodnight Moon”, as well as other possible ones provided by the adopted technological support. The story, written by Margaret Wise Brown and first published in 1947 in the United States of America, aims to help children fall asleep. As such, the primary goal of the application is, through the transmediation of the book, to create a comfortable sound environment and to motivate children to go to sleep through audiovisual stimuli. Experiments and user tests have demonstrated the effectiveness of the application as a means of relaxation and preparation for falling asleep, while interacting with the story “Goodnight Moon”.
