Abstract
The industry and research institutes are steadily adopting IMS and are building internal IMS testbeds for prototyping of services and validation of all-IP concepts. The client applications triggering testing scenarios and demonstrating services within the testbed are important for the overall quality and visibility of the test setup. The IMS applications which are available today concentrate only on one task of testbed support either testing or demonstrating and thus often support only a limited set of basic services likes VoIP, messaging and presence. This paper describes the requirements for an IMS client application framework and shows some prototype work in writing such a framework which can be used to create individual NGN testbed applications.
