Abstract

In this letter, a flexible microwave antenna applicator is presented for mild microwave hyperthermia. The antenna used in this application is designed for high dielectric medium -like skin and tested on breast formed human-mimicking gels. Experiments showed that this method provides a considerable heating up to 4cm depth with 5W at 450 MHz to be used as a supporting method providing selective temperature increase for conventional treatments.
