Abstract
In this paper we introduce two real-world examples of suc- cessful deployments of ubiquitous monitoring technology in mental care: one related to monitoring elderly dementia patients at a nursing home and one to the diagnosis of manic and depressive episodes in bipolar dis- order patients. We will elaborate the most relevant challenges that had to be dealt with and introduce the solutions that helped us to overcome them.
