Abstract

INTRODUCTION: Selecting suitable shipping lines is crucial for supply chain efficiency, particularly in Vietnam’s maritime sector. OBJECTIVES: This study seeks to identify and prioritise key criteria affecting shipping line selection from the perspective of freight forwarders. METHODS: The Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) was applied to evaluate multiple decision-making factors. RESULTS: Competitive freight rates, container availability, and special cargo capabilities were ranked as the most influential criteria. CONCLUSION: Findings highlight the need for carriers to enhance service reliability and cost-efficiency to meet the demands of developing markets.
