Abstract

This study aims to explain the Path-Goal Theory of leadership through a literature review. Utilizing a literature study method, data were collected and analyzed from various books and scientific journals with similar topics. The findings indicate that the application of Path-Goal leadership can enhance employee motivation. The theory recognizes four leadership behaviors that can increase subordinate motivation: directive, supportive, participative, and achievement-oriented. By identifying the most effective paths for followers to achieve their goals, leaders can provide necessary support and remove obstacles. This research underscores the importance of adapting leadership styles to meet the needs of team members and the situational context, ultimately contributing to improved organizational performance and employee satisfaction.
