Abstract
The government policy supports the use of learning communities for the implementation of continuous professional development based on the important role of learning communities in changing isolated work cultures into collaborative cultures and lightening the work of educators with strategies for sharing ideas, information and resources, with this culture expected to increase the capacity of educators in implementing learning.The results of the study prove the effectiveness of the mentoring strategy carried out, the increase in teacher capacity before and after participating in mentoring increased by 52% from 28% to 80%.Through the N Gain test, an effectiveness score of 0.72 was obtained in the high category.ConclusionThis effectiveness test is an inquiry cycle that is suitable for application in mentoring learning communities because it allows the use of research data to analyze needs andsetpriority scale of the load given so thatstrategic planning, time and other resources can be used effectively and efficiently, in addition to teacher capacity, other factors that influence the strengthening of literacy and numeracy, namely the existence and utilization of a literacy and numeracy-rich environment.
