Effect of Digital Transformation on Enterprise Performance: Evidence from China

Abstract
This paper uses the text analysis method to measure the level of enterprise digital transformation, and the data of China's A-share listed enterprises from 2008 to 2020 to study the impact of digital transformation on enterprise performance. The two main findings are: (1) Digital transformation may directly enhance enterprise performance; (2) Digital transformation indirectly improves enterprise performance by promoting innovation and optimizing costs. Lastly, the article offers some policy recommendations for enterprise digital transformation.
