Abstract

The purpose of the research is to analyze stress reduction in students by giving traditional music (Cianjuran). The research method used quasi-experimental, control group design with pre-test and post-test data. The subjects of this research are 30 psychology students in a university in Bandung, Indonesia. In this study, the researchers used Subjective Units Distress Scale (SUDS) and adapted the Student-Life Stress Inventory from Gandzella. From a descriptive analysis, the result shows that Cianjuran music treatment can decrease the stress level.
