Abstract

The step movement of the switched reluctance planar motor (SRPM) has high oscillation, due to the nonlinear magnetic circuit behaviour and high force ripples. Therefore, traditional linear controllers are insufficient in SRPM control, thus a closed-loop motor position control system based on Neural-PID controller is designed to obtain the optimum characteristics of operation for these motors.
