Abstract
The study aims to contextualize and examine the intervening role of Entrepreneurial Self-Efficacy (ESE) beliefs in the relationship between entrepreneurship education (EE) and entrepreneurial intentions (EI) of Hospitality and Tourism (H&T) students. Based on extensive research in social cognitive and human capital theory, we argue that the relationship between EE and EI among students is mediated by their respective ESE and not directly but has a moderate effect on pragmatic Thinking (PT). We survey 165 students who have completed an entrepreneurship course at a prestigious and highly ranked H&T institute in India. The empirical study findings indicate that advocating for a rigorous entrepreneurship curriculum increases ESE and considerably increases EI among H&T students.
