Abstract
The learning outcomes of psychiatric nursing course is still low, it is caused by the difficulties of students to master the subjects of psychiatric nursing which commonly abstract or unclear. The aim of this study is to know the effectiveness of strategic learning to improve learning outcomes. This research uses quasi experimental method with nonequivalent-groups posttest-only design. The result of this research is Ho rejected which is proved by the students learning outcomes of psychiatric nursing who are taught by PBL learning strategy is higher.
