Abstract
While task-based language teaching (TBLT) has proven effective in developing language skills, further study is required to explore its impact on public speaking. This study examines university students' perspectives on task-based materials in enhancing English proficiency and public speaking. Through a questionnaire, students rated aspects like task usefulness, enjoyableness, and engagement, with findings analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results showed that students felt the materials effectively improved their English and public speaking skills. They also expressed high satisfaction, ease of use, and found the tasks both enjoyable and challenging, indicating that task engagement was positive. Overall, the study highlights the importance of well-designed TBLT materials in fostering motivation and enhancing learning outcomes.
