Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to describe the perceived suitability and gap of civil servant vocational schoolteachers in state vocational high schools (SMKN) who have implemented the continuing professional development program (CPD) in the context of the policies in Indonesia. the population in the study were civil servant vocational teachers in State Vocational High School (SMKN) who taught vocational fields. the survey is used to collect data and analyze data with descriptive statistics using a comparative hypothesis test (t-test), in paired difference test. The level of suitability and gaps in the implementation of CPD program policies consists of 7 aspects, namely: (1) understanding of CPD; (2) the objectives and benefits of the CPD; (3) CPD patterns and activities; (4) CPD content; (5) CPD support; (6) the impact of the CPD; and (7) teachers' CPD performance. The average result of the gap in the seven aspects is 0.75 points. While the suitability value of the seven aspects got a score of 80%. This shows that there is still a gap of 20% in the implementation of CPD program policies by Civil Servant Vocational teachers. Meanwhile. The highest level of disparity in the implementation of CPD program policies with a value of 0.85 points or the value of suitability achieved is 76.96% in the aspect of CPD support.
