Abstract
Mapping training needs is essential for identifying managerial aspects that require improvement among school principals. This study aims to analyze training needs to enhance the leadership quality of junior high school principals. A quantitative descriptive research design was employed using a survey method through questionnaires distributed to principals and teachers. The findings reveal competency gaps in managerial skills, transformational leadership, and decision-making abilities. Based on the analysis, the study recommends the implementation of targeted training programs to strengthen principals’ leadership competencies. These findings are expected to serve as a foundation for more effective training planning to support the improvement of education quality at the junior high school level.
