Abstract
The advance of Software-Defined Networking and Network Function Virtualization leads to highly flexible networks. The dynamic instantiation and modification of these networks depends on embedding algorithms. Well-known performance modeling tools could provide valuable feedback to algorithm designers during the important implementation and experimentation phases. This extended abstract discusses an approach to integrate simulation of Service Function Chain embedding algorithms with common performance analysis tools to provide such feedback.
