Abstract
Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play a crucial role in absorbing a significant portion of the workforce, making their growth directly tied to economic expansion. However, SMEs continue to grapple with the perennial challenge of limited access to capital. The restricted availability of credit sources underscores the need for financial institutions, government agencies, and other stakeholders to foster increased capital access for SMEs. An assessment of the credit potential of SMEs is essential to equip them with the knowledge of credit eligibility criteria. This research will delve into the potential of SMEs from legal and financial perspectives, aiming to provide SMEs with insights into suitable credit types and offer recommendations for tailored credit policies.
