Abstract

Successful transfer of learning is becoming increasingly important in the field of continuing vocational training (CVT). Furthermore the success of a company and of individuals will depend on how quickly they learn, develop new, suitable ideas and put them into practice. Therefore CVT hast o achieve corporate goals. For this reason evaluation of learning transfer is the central task of education controlling. The origin of evaluation forms the Four-Level-Evaluation-Model developed by Kirkpatrick in 1959. It is still used in ist basic features today (e.g. Feedbackform to evalute the 1st level “Reaction”). Kirkpatrick’s model extended by two more levels, ROI (Return on Investment) and VOI (Value on Investment). These key figures based on algorithms such as ROI or the descriptive determination of the added value VOI are not sufficient in their meaningfulness to meet the constantly changing requirements in the areas of HRD (Human resource development) and leadership of virtual teams. The use of an smartphone or table application underpins a seamless communication process in CVT and increases the learning transfer. Furthermore the presented functions Feed and Knowledgecenter of the app could support managers in leading virtual teams. Quantitative studies to increase the effectivity of the app are currently open.
