Abstract

Literacy is one of the essential factors that support students ‘success in everyday life. Through brochures, the students could create meaningful activities during literacy sessions. This study aims at describing student literacy through Balinese temple brochures. The research was design using a qualitative approach. The subject of study were students in the third semester of Penerangan Agama Hindu study program, STAHN MpuKuturanSingaraja. The data were collected through observation, questionnaire, and interview. The result of the study showed that brochures were helpful to increase student's English skills. As well as the students would be able to enrich English vocabulary which is useful for their comprehension. The students also more realized that English can be beneficial for their future careers.
