Abstract
The purpose of this research is to understand the leadership style of the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) of Sarmi Regency in its efforts to improve employee performance. In this case there are two leadership subjects, namely the head of the agency and the head of the division. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method, with the data generated through field observations and critical analysis. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Thus, leadership in improving employee performance is not solely dependent on the head of the agency, but also on leadership within each division, which significantly influences employee performance. Furthermore, the research indicates that the leadership style of the head of the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency of Sarmi Regency uses delegating and participating leadership styles, while the head of the division applies telling and selling leadership styles.
