Abstract

This research is based on the implementation of the correctional system as a multidimensional activity. The purpose of this study is to describe the performance of disciplinary punishment against inmates who violate the rules at Class II A Bekasi Prison according to Law no. 12 of 1995 concerning Corrections. This type of research is field research. The approach is normative-empirical, and the data collection technique is through library research, interviews, and observations and analysed by inductive analysis techniques. The results of the study indicate that the application of disciplinary punishment to prisoners in prisons is by Law Number 12 of 1995 concerning Corrections and Article 9 paragraph (4) of the Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights Number 6 of 2013 about Procedures for State Corrections and Detention Institutions.
