Abstract
Corruption has become one of the main challenges in governance in Indonesia. Efforts to eradicate corruption require the role of independent and transparent institutions that are able to effectively oversee and address corruption cases, given the high possibility of criminal offenders outside the judicial process. The Ombudsman of Indonesia is one of the institutions that play a role in this effort, the Ombudsman as a public policy oversight institution that stands at the forefront of tackling corruption. The presence of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia is expected to be able to oversee the implementation of public services in order to realize the implementation of state and government that is effective and efficient, honest, clean, open, and free from corruption, collusion and nepotism.
