Abstract

This research aims to understand the existence and conversion processes from Hinduism to Buddhism in the Alasangker community. This research methodologically uses the qualitative technique determination of informant with sampling purposive and informant continue to be developed with the snowball technique. In data collection of researcher used: (1) circumstantial Interview by making guidance of interview; (2) observation participation. ( 3) study document. The result of this research indicates that background converts religion in Alasangker is caused by intern and extern factors.
