Abstract

Using provincial panel data from 2013 to 2021 and fixed-effect method to study the effect and heterogeneity of OFDI on industrial structure optimization in China under environmental regulation. The results show that China's OFDI hinders the adjustment of industrial structure to some extent. Under the regulatory effect of environmental regulation, the inhibitory effect of OFDI on the upgrading of industrial structure is significantly weakened, and the regulatory effect has regional heterogeneity and economic development level heterogeneity.
