Abstract

Telemedicine has become an increasingly popular method for providing remote healthcare services, including in dental practice. However, the implementation of telemedicine in dental practice raises various questions regarding legal and ethical aspects. This research employs a normative juridical research method by approaching legislative regulations and conducting a review of relevant legal and ethical literature. The results of this study will offer a thorough insight into the legal and ethical challenges encountered by dental practitioners using telemedicine in Indonesia. Additionally, it will propose recommendations for policy development to improve adherence to legal and ethical standards in teledentistry-based dental practice. This study aims to significantly enhance the understanding and advancement of sustainable dental practices in the telemedicine era.
