Abstract
Under the background of digital economy, the high-quality development of tourism industry cannot be separated from scientific and technological innovation and promotion, and the rapid development of tourism can also lead the direction of scientific and technological innovation. Based on the research on the status quo of scientific and technological innovation and global tourism development in Liaoning region, this paper uses VAR and coupled coordination degree model to conduct an empirical study to explore how scientific and technological innovation can promote high-quality tourism development in Liaoning region. The results show that tourism income contributes a lot to the tertiary industry in Liaoning, and the coupling and coordination level between the two systems of scientific and technological innovation and global tourism is gradually improved. Based on these results, this paper puts forward relevant suggestions for further improving the coupling coordination degree of scientific and technological innovation and tourism, which are of guiding significance for the high-quality development of tourism driven by scientific and technological innovation.
