Abstract

To address the problems in the traditional teaching of Software Engineering course, this paper analyses the connotations of the OBE education concept and the BOPPPS model, and proposes the integration of both of them into the Software Engineering instructional model and its teaching design. The original BOPPPS model is improved to be more in line with the requirements of the discipline and the curriculum. Then specific implementation methods and operations are given for each of its teaching modules. Finally, an OBE-based evaluation method for the achievement of course objectives is presented. The proposed instructional model provides a complete set of reference programmes for practical teaching activities, which help students to obtain better results and improve their overall competence.
