Abstract

This study aims to identify, examine and describe the implementation of religious character education at SD Negeri 1 Kutawis, Bukateja District, Purbalingga Regency. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. This study uses the subject of school principals, teachers and students. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. Analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of implementing character education at Public Elementary School 1 Kutawis are carried out through: (1) creating a character education program; (2) implementing school rules and class rules: (3) carrying out habituation activities at school, for example: carrying out congregational duha prayers, reading short letters, reading asmaul husna and noon prayers in congregation; (4) controlling religious activities at home through activity logs; (5) involving parents; (6) involving the school committee; and (7) creating a conducive classroom climate
