Abstract
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of tool for somersault skills. Another purpose of this research is to be used as teaching material and methods on how to provide assistance effectively and efficiently when teaching gymnastics. The basic thing that underlies this research is to enrich science through research in the field of teaching, especially on the floor gymnastics course. This research uses the Quasi Experiment research method, while the research design uses Non-equivalent Control Group Design. Data analysis in this study used the normality test and homogeneity test, followed by an t-test to test the research hypothesis. From the results of data processing and analysis and hypothesis testing, it was concluded that there is a difference in the results of front somersault skills be-tween the experimental group using wire steel and the control group not using aids but not significantly.
