Abstract
One type of pesticide used by chilli farmers is profenofos. Therefore, to protect the health of farmers, we need to find materials that can be used as a basis for detection of pesticide poisoning. The research purposes to find materials that can be used early detection exposure of profenofos poisoning. This research with Qualitative and Quantitative methods. Qualitative test results Rhodamin 6 G shows a change in color from red to pink when reacting with profenophos. The quantitative test results obtained Rhodamin 6 G shows the value of R= 0.891 and the significance level is 0.007. These results indicate a strong relationship between profenophos and Rhodamin 6 G. Suggestions from this research to design an advanced early detection device so that it can be applied in the field.
