Abstract
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) creative industries are expected to be able to compete in a weak global era in synergizing among stakeholders. Therefore, serious efforts should be made immediately by starting to make a mapping of MSMEs in the creative industries in the City of Sukoharjo, analyzing strategic plans and related regulations. The formulation of the question raised is how to map the potential of the creative industry in the City of Sukoharjo? What are the strategic plans and government regulations to support the development of creative industries? The analysis technique in the first year is a comparative descriptive analysis between the results of this study and related research previously. Also conducted an empirical study of mapping the creative economy in Sukoharjo Regency. Whereas in the second year an empirical exploratory research study was conducted to develop a strategic plan Focus Group Discussion conducted with stakeholders. The results of the study resulted in a map of MSMEs in the creative economy in Sukoharjo City which was divided into clusters and by sub-district. It is recommended that further research be carried out by the FGD in the preparation of the creative economy MSMEs Strategic Plan for Sukoharjo Regency.
