Abstract

(1) to analyze how the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of learning tools developed through problem-based learning algebra models in class VII junior high school 4 Tarutng; (2) to analyze how to increase mathematical connection skills using a device developed through an algebraic material model in class VII junior high school 4 Tarutung; This research is classified as Development Research using the learning development model of Thiagarajan and Semmel. This research aims to: (1) analyze how to increase mathematical connection skills using a device developed through an algebraic material model (Four D Model). The findings of the study indicate that: (1) The learning tools of the Problem Based Learning Model are valid, practical, and effective; (2) Increasing students' mathematical connection abilities by using problem based learning learning models on algebraic material; and (3) Increasing students' interest in mathematics through the use of problem based learning learning models on mathematical material.
