Abstract
Transparency is essential to the operation and standing of higher education institutions. Websites for higher education in Muhammadiyah have taken the lead as the main platform for contact with many stakeholders, including potential students, parents, teachers, and the general public, as a result of the rising digitization of information. Through a case study of Muhammadiyah higher education in Indonesia, which includes 170 institutions, this study seeks to solve the issue of maintaining transparency in university websites. The case study examines the exact tactics and procedures used by this higher education to improve website openness and how the institutions posted yearly reports online. It is possible to gain insightful knowledge and instructive lessons from studying the experiences of Muhammadiyah higher education
