Abstract

Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) is an assessment designed to encourage the implementation of innovative learning oriented towards developing reasoning skills and improving students' literacy skills. The objectives of this study are 1) analyzing the process of developing AKM assessment instruments for text-based fiction work material for grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 27 Medan, 2) analyzing the product for developing AKM assessment instruments for text-based fiction material for grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 27 Medan, 3 ) analyze the feasibility of the AKM assessment instrument for text-based fiction material for grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 27 Medan, and 4) analyze the effectiveness of the AKM assessment instrument for text-based fiction material for grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 27 Medan. This research method is Thiagarajan's 4-D development method consisting of the steps of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) assessment will later be adjusted to the context of the text.
